Hello Declan! No, the new story will be something different entirely. I’ve got a couple of concepts I’m fleshing out, one is historical and one is fantasy. I need to do some more work on both to find out which one will be the best choice for the next story after TL2 and before I write CW3. Ideally, I’d like to focus on something that has more potential for a series rather than stand alone

Hello RG! Sounds quite exciting! Did your ideas for BUG ISLAND and/or ALIEN HUNTER sequel (or sideways stories or even prequels?) now morph into a new, original tale? Or is the new concept something completely different? We want teasers without spoilers please! Thanks

Hi crystalwhimsey – so sorry I missed your comment – I hope that your grandchildren enjoyed it. I totally agree about the importance of imagination – it is very interesting to see the different pictures that my class draw of the Candy Wars characters

Hi Krista. Yes I have plans to write Candy Wars III, IV and V – if you look at the ‘next’ tab you can see the rough timeline of what I am planning to release when. So glad that they enjoy them! RG

Any plans to write Candy Wars III? My children are 4 and 8 and we love reading the first two books together. I often hear them pretending they are James and Emily.

Hello R. G., I read about you at Big Al’s Books and Pals. I write stories for eight and under but my grandchildren are now past that by several years. I just bought Candy Wars for a stocking stuffer and from the bit of it that I have read I know my grandchildren are going to love it. With all the fancy electronic thing-a-ma-bobs available to kids now days I think parents find it harder and harder to convince them of the wonder the mind can create by just reading. Cudos to you for reaching out and pulling children back into that creative land of the imagination.
